About the Role
As the Localization Manager, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing internal tools and procedures for localizing the web-based interface and the documentation for Falcon, our industry-leading cybersecurity product suite. You’ll partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to create new workflows and infrastructure that ensure timely, high quality translations.
The Localization Manager will work closely with Product Managers, Program Managers, UX Writers, Tech Writers, UX Researchers, and Engineers. We’re a highly collaborative, friendly, inclusive, and diverse group using our collective strengths to deliver a capable and intuitive user experience for our customers.
Enthusiastically and strategically grow an emerging process into a mature workflow, using robust knowledge of the localization process.
Champion high quality, consistent translations.
Partner with technical writing and UX writing teams to evolve processes and best practices for localization readiness.
Manage workload in a fast-paced, highly distributed environment.
Some travel for project offsites and team get-togethers, though no company travel is happening during COVID-19.
Hands-on experience with software localization project management.
Understanding of localization best practices and familiarity with common “gotchas” for localization.
Passion for developing processes, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Experience with CAT tools and their file formats.
Experience tracking and managing multiple projects.
Empathy and professionalism.
Experience with content strategy and writing content for localization.
Proficiency in a language other than English.
Engagement with broader translation/localization communities and attentiveness to evolving industry best practices.
Experience in remote-first environments.
