About the Role:

CrowdStrike is looking for an Sr. Analyst – Revenue Accounting who is passionate about leading a growing team, scaling and refining Billing and Services Revenue processes to support our fast-growing business. We are looking for those eager to bring in best practice processes, take on problems, and streamline operations.  This role will act as an escalation point in resolving complex outstanding issues with internal and external business partners. The successful candidate will have a strong desire in innovating processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Sr. Analyst will be a key leader and driver, a self-starter and pivotal member of the Revenue Accounting team. The person will be playing a critical role in shaping the strategic objectives of the team and driving ownership of key deliverables across business organizations

  • Serve as end-to-end functional owner for Services Revenue, including process definitions, policies, implementation, etc.

  • Analyze and research revenue accounting matters including new product launches and unique customer arrangements.

  • An expert in O2C process, good understanding of various workstreams and dependencies in the process

  • Lead projects to drive improvements/efficiencies of current processes

  • Prepare Accrual vs Actuals Analysis for respective products/services and report out variances.

  • Review regular reports such as the Deferred Revenue Analysis, Contract Summary, and other revenue reports and ensure proper accounting compliances

  • Provide revenue support for all company acquisitions, including contract analysis and determination of deferred revenue opening balances. Assist in post-acquisition on-boarding of acquired companies.

  • Participate in technical review, approach, analysis of data to determine transition accounting, developing new procedures.

  • Adopt organizational transformation strategy, lead delivery with a shared vision and transparency, and develop a strong team of operational excellence

    • Manage all day-to-day group workload, develop, build on the existing processes, define procedures and policies with strong focus on Controllership and Compliance

    • Support in preparing and delivering business presentations (business reviews, performance metrics) and analyze reports

    • Enforce adherence with Accounting teams to understand requirements and incorporate them in Business Requirement document (BRD) 

    • Own and drive high quality month close & reconciliation of Billing and PS Services related accounts to ensure complete, accurate and timely SSC financial reporting & planning cycles are carried out

  • Subject matter expert for system implementations, engage with technology teams to translate business requirements into configurable systems requirements

  • Support Global Business Leader in driving strategic adhoc projects and enhancements

  • Resolving any errors or discrepancies with customer billing, or billing reports

  • Assisting the accounting department with the preparation of financial reports

What You’ll Need:

  • Master’s degree in accounting, and/or Business Finance

  • 5+ Years of Experience in implementing and managing Revenue Accounting in a Captive or Hybrid Shared Service environment

  • Well versed with O2C process, system automation, Project experience etc.

  • Experience re-assessing end-to-end processes and the reduction of bottlenecks at various points

  • Demonstrated expertise in process analysis, documentation, improvement and automation

  • Experience working with a public company

  • Thorough experience and understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002

  • Excellent communication skills are a must with a very good command over written and spoken English

  • Attention to detail, organized, strong management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities within tight deadlines 

  • Goal-oriented with a mindset of transformation or six sigma

  • A self-starter and team player

  • Experience with NetSuite (including ARM, SRP modules) or another similar ERP system strongly desired

  • Shift time: 2PM-11PM IST.
